Ive had my GameBoy micro for some time now. I never really play it… Recently I picked it up and used my Everdrive X5 and absolutely fell in love.

I really, really enjoyed making this video. I hope you like it!
I love my Gameboy Micro. So small.
I used to own one of these. I gave them to my cousin when I got a PSP. I must say that I regret that decision.
The green Gameboy micro was my first Gameboy I got when I was like 5 or 6 and I still have it 🙂
I have the Gameboy micro in red with Mario edition since childhood. still works, but has a bad battery needs to be connected to charger all time:(
I like how the GB Micro's changeable faceplates carried over to the New 3ds.
Bought one of these from Walmart years ago for 50$ and then brought it up to some nerd in high school how I had one, he annoyed me everyday about having one and he traded me some shitty as game for it. Regret it everyday.
The thumbnail excuse me
I had a pink micro and it was my first gaming device and i adored it
When i seach for it is availble same as iphone7 plus price
I lost mine with a ez flash IV inside. I prefer over sp 101(too saturated colors).
Now they are too much expensive. I miss it a LOT. 🙁
One problem is the metalic buttons(L, R , Start, Select) get deleted with time. Better do something to cover them.
I had one years ago. My issue was that after playing a while, my eyes hurt. The screen was just too small.
Hi I have a game boy micro and the switch seems faulty ? Anything I can do to fix it / replace? Thanks
Ahh i need to buy this console. How do i buy this?
Sadly this thing was DOA because it removed an important thing the GBA and SP had: GB/GBC compatibility. (It's because the physical slot can't fit the cartridges – the hardware is still there, that's why the Everdrive works – it was a dumb decision on Nintendo's part.) Yes, the backlit screen was nice. But there was a backlit version of the SP that had the same screen (AGS-101). I don't want to have to get an Everdrive to play games I already have on cartridge.
I had one. It was my favorite, I loved it so much. I lent it to my brother. He was talking good care of it… Until a friend of his kicked him in the leg for no reason. My Gameboy micro was shattered. My brother's leg was fine. I was never made whole, and miss it to this day.
Nintendo switch faceplate for Gameboy micro doesn't exist, not even aftermarket. This fact makes me sad.
My favourite Gameboy
I have one with me for many years, I better start using it again to keep it functional. Also, I don't know how, but I got like 40 different cartridges of games like gta vice city, pokemon, sponge bob, hulk, power rangers, fantastic four etc. all working on my game boy micro
Ill say that your a bit late to review something thats older than most of the kids on YouTube
Nintendo invented the GB Micro to increase the lifespan of the GBA
Nintendo’s Handheld Civil War
Thanks for the opinion and the nice video.
Gameboy micro deserve the most to be talked about,to me this was the best thing I ever had going to school and no one knew it was a game or a mini game system 😂
do you have any cheaper alternatives to an everdrive?
The Micro is such a wild Nintendo console.
It’s like the opposite of the 2ds.
It’s a tiny Gucci version at the end of the system life.
this console is garbage
Put wireless link for play Pokémon
Perfect for playing gba games at class
I had one years back and my younger self lost it… can't believe it. was my favorite handheld console of all time.
Bought a green one when it was still produced for 59€. It’s in fairly mint condition, beside a scratch on the backplate. But one of the shoulder buttons is creaking, does anyone know how to solve it? I took it apart, and the spring seem perfectly fine. Would some silicone based lubricant do the trick?
This is one of the coolest handhelds ever made.
Excited to get mine!
I buy this console for less than 1$ from second hand market in Indonesia. The screen is dead and burn, But the body and other part looks clean as new. I dont think it will work. I think the seller doesnt know what is this. Lucky me
been Gameboy collecting forever but just diving in to the modding and flash card world. do you have a EZ flash omega vs Everdrive video…or just opinion?
If this isn't the perfect handheld, I don't know what it is.
PSP Go comes in second.
Hello from Brazil! I have the opportunity to buy one in the time but I let pass…..I’m so regretted even today….hahaha
This thing is great.
I really need to get one of these, it goes along well with my iPod Nano.
bought one of these back when they were new for my old girlfriend who never played games before, i remember being kinda jealous of the form factor and the changeable faceplate. very cool system
Remembering buying this and sad part was that I didn’t even sell but instead i gave it to my mom to send to Mexico , regret it 💯 oh well
I loved my Gameboy Micro and passed many an hour in college with one. Had it taken when I was burgled 6 years ago unfortunately. I bought it off Ebay for £20 and shocked to see what they are worth now! Can't justify paying that to scratch the nostalgia itch haha
Easily my favorite version of the Game Boy. So good!
So I had a Gameboy Micro for a weekend when I was young. I had a DS and wanted to trade pokemon in Leaf Green with my friend and it isn't supported on the DS. So I went to Gamestop with christmas money and grabbed a Gameboy Micro.
I played around with it for a while and LOVED it. it was comfortable, it had the best looking screen I'd seen (Even better than the fancy new DS Lites) and it fit so comfortably in my pocket.
Then I went to grab my GBA connector cable and realized that the Micro didn't support it. After trying to justify to myself that I wanted to keep the thing anyway, I couldn't. I specifically got the thing so I could use the link cable. I returned the Micro the next day.
If my dumb ass had taken the milisecond it takes to GOOGLE the problem, I'd have found that there IS an adapter you can order that allows you to trade between the Micro and regular GBAs. But I was a dumb teenager who didn't think past ten minutes in the future.
In the many years since I've kind of yearned for a Micro again, but they're expensive. Lately I've been wanting to play some GBA stuff on an actual GBA again rather than emulators or the Wii U, so I was looking through Micros on ebay and such. I never found the cheap pink ones you mention in the video, they were all minimum $120 and I just wasn't sure that was worth it.
But then I saw a fancy custom AG-101 Purple refurbished GBA SP for LESS than a used and possibly not-working GBA Micro and decided to go that direction instead.
Hell's bells, I feel a little more justified this time, but…Maybe one day when I'm a rich man I'll just order every game system I please idk
Ingot a great condition one for 80 bucks I love it
