With DDR4 memory prices as high as they are, it is tempting to build a budget Gaming PC around Socket 1155, 1156 and 1150 motherboards. You can find brand new motherboards all over the Internet, they are non branded and looking at the specification they appear to be legit. But when you look closer, and actually test them, lots of little cons are discovered. Are you better off buying a used board instead?

Would you recommend these two motherboards for a home computer, nothing for gaming, using 8gb ram and a core i3 540? Thanks.

Is there a way to control CPU fan speeds on this 1155 board separately, with a front panel fan controller perhaps?

My first contact with Chinese motherboard was around the year of 1994, with 486 based motherboard, and at that time period, their quality were at flaw, out of 40 motherboards, you can expect 20 to 40 percent would be very temperamental, dodgy and simply a waste, and now at the year of 2018, despite being separated by about 24 years, with all supposed to higher degree of quality control and all that, quite baffling to have found out, that the Chinese produced motherboard under certain brand name still are retained their quality thus their reputation,

Man, you just helped me dodge a bullet! I was about to buy the B75 variant but the non-pwm headers and no turbo were an instant no-go for me. Thanks for the review!

Same in Romania but in 2002-2004 there was a invasion of Socket A VIA chipset motherboards, mainly are from no-name brands like Eagletec, Mercury, Matsonic and Amptron and even ECS and PC Chips (these mentioned are made by Hsing Tech). The Hsing-Tech motherboards are very problematic when compared to ASUS or Gigabyte. Problems like Windows XP cannot install even you changed the CD-ROM drive or the CD-ROM disc, and continuous Windows instabilities and quirks. BIOS flashed but corrupted. SO be casreful when dealing with these boards. If you do have one, please test it out on Youtube!

I have a x58 Micro-ATX motherboard coming from Aliexpress that looks a lot like these and it also has a M.2 slot on it. I'm not holding out a great deal of hope for the highest quality, but it was cheap and it'll mean I'll be able to use my x5670 even if it won't be at its full potential.
