You may have missed my previous liquid cooled 9900KS / 2080 Ti build here: https://youtu.be/dbLugatTfTc
Also note: The ASUS B450-I Strix comes "Ryzen 3000 ready", which means that you won't need to worry about bios troubles out of the box.

Spoiler alert AMD will not be supporting x470 or b450 with zen 3, our upgrade path just ended on those older boards…go x570 or b550!

I had a asus rog strix x570-i gaming, but had some issues with the chipset temp and fan speed. it was running 75 degrees and fan speed at 5000-6000 RPM (idle). is it something you have experienced? sadly i have seen several reports of the same thing but should i give asus another shot?

Asus B450-i NOT support 64 GB of RAM, only 32 (16 GB per slot), like all the other b450 chipset mobos

what about the other two? i think many people are considering the aorus and the asrock, because they want x570, but not the top end stuff like the impact

The DTX Impact board in New Zealand is $250 higher than the ITX Strix ! – Its really expensive.
( Strix X570 @ $550 / Impact X570 @ $800 ) – On the other hand the Strix B450 is $275.

You talk about VRM cooling, while none of these boards have at least a somewhat heatsink like cooler on it. Those lumps of aluminium practically just obstruct the cooling of the VRM FETs. Those are only for design, not for cooling. One of the many degenerations of motherboard designs in the last decade. A 12-15 years old mobo has much better cooling and layout. And Asus is the torchbearer of these absolutely bad trends.

I bought the 450-I. My question is can the two M.2 drives on this mobo be set up as a RAID 1 configuration?

MSI B450I has better CPU VRM than B450 Asus with 60A IR3555s instead of 40A IR3553s.

What mini itx mother board do you recommend for sub £180, it’s going to have a i9 9600k and the ram will probably be ddr4 3600

Bout to build a high end gaming PC and I only have one shot on doing it. When I mean one shot.. no upgrade or change of components for at least for the next 3 yrs. Else, my wife will divorce me. Hehe. Question is, are these ITX boards / ITX builds good for heavy gaming? Heavey use? compare to a mid tower / full tower build (without custom liquid setup).
