This is my Malindo Air review after flying with them from Bali to Kuala Lumpur to New Delhi, two flights in one day. Overall I think they’re a good airline and it’s very good value considering they include checked baggage of up to 20kg for economy and 40kg or Business.

My complaints include: slow service my air hostesses, the screens not working on the first flight, having to PAY for ear phones if you don’t have your own, and the small meals with no choice.

There was plenty of leg space which was good, the food was tasty, the movie selection was small but there were good movies and overall it was a positive experience.

Hope this is helpful for anyone wanting to fly Malindo Air in Asia.

I’m in India for 1 week with a group of other bloggers to experience Kumbh Mela and attend a Writer’s Conclave. Today we are off to Varanasi to start our trip! #ChaloKumbh2019

Worst airline ever. Total rip off, no customer service. $20 per kilo for baggage. We have never used Malindo before and never will again.

Just wanna know if you had to recheck your bags in Kuala Lumpur. I have booked a similar route (to Mumbai) and the website I booked it through showed me that I 'may' have to recheck.

Flew with Malindo Air twice from Brisbane, Australia to Kuala Lumpur twice via Bali. Overall it’s a descent experience with no problems, though I don’t mind the one hour stop over in Bali because it’s nice to stretch my legs before the onward journey to Kuala Lumpur. It’s a premium-LCC so they provide more limited items compared full carriers like Singapore Airlines or Malaysia Airlines such as purchasing headphones inflight rather than provided for free, as well as limited range of movies inflight. But it’s still cheaper than major premium airlines. So can’t complain at all. The slight downside is the flight attendant forgot to serve my meal then she only realized that mistake served me later but it’s a small mistake and problem solved. Oh and another downside is the late departure from Bali to Kuala Lumpur due to the congestion in Bali Airport, so definitely can’t fault the airline for that.

How long was your layover in kul. I have a 2 hour layover with malindo. Will that be enough for me? And how's the transit in kul. I am actually transiting first time so little bit unknown about transit procedures

nice review, for Malindo is good for the price but dont expect premium service, it's in the middle btwn LCC and full service carrier (it was an LCC before afterall). for the IFE you could ask the FA to reset it for you if it malfunctioned.
